Obviously, I have been neglectin "Bebopping"...I started a blog recently. I decided to discontinue my Bebopping page for now. I will keep it available for a few weeks. Please check out my blog (become a follower) and also become a fan on facebook.
Facebook: Go to the search area on facebook and type To Be Me Jewelry - it will take you to my page. Since my page is brand new I do not have a url yet to take you directly to my fan page. Apparently, you need 25 fans to get an url. So...please join my fan page!
August 2009
Here in NJ August is hot and steamy. I love it! The best time to go for a walk on the boardwalk is early in the morning and of course in the middle of the week. During the weekend it's extremely busy and parking is at a premium.
Here's a photo during the week of the Avon boardwalk.

The Ocean Grove Art Show on July 25th was a success! My Thought Waves disc necklace was a hit! The next show will be September 5th at the Ocean Grove Craft Festival. I had such fun at the Art show meeting people and talking about everything under the sun! Literally! It was wonderful to have my booth overlooking the ocean and feeling the breeze. It simply was a good day!

This is what my booth looked like at the end of the day. A bit tired like me!

On a cold Friday night...
Life is good. I danced and danced along with the kids at Childrens Center here in Monmouth County. This school has a day program for young adults with disabilties. They had a dance for the day program students. They had me smiling, laughing and dancing all night long! Whew! I'm pooped out!

I originally grew up in Perth Amboy, NJ. I have many fond memories of Perth Amboy. One of my favorite memories is Christmas time on Smith Street. I remember seeing Santa Claus at the Reynolds Store with my Godmother. We just bought a "pocketbook" for my Mother. When we went out of the store it was snowing. As I was holding the wrapped present in my arms I tried to catch snowflakes with my tougue. It was a beautiful and unforgetable night shared with my Godmother.
These pictures are what I grew up seeing every year on Smith Street. Do they remind you of something?

Here is the second process of making red wine. My husband and his friends have been making wine for a few years. I have the best job in this process...I watch and in the end I raise my glass and simply say...deeeeeeelious!
Our friend, Robert is a wonderful cook!
On a chilly October Saturday it was time to press the grapes and at the end of the day a feast was had! Here are some photos ...

Oh boy! I signed up for a eight week photography class through Macom in Tinton Falls, NJ. Wish me luck. Taking photos of jewelry is a challenge. I'm hoping this class will assist me with taking better photos. We'll see!
I live at the Jerseyshore-quite nice. I decided to practice taking photos for my class. This was taken in Avon, NJ on a windy day last week. It's difficult to see but this "Avon Guy" is sand sailing. His sand cart is on wheels. The wind was really moving him fast! I would like to comment on the instructor that I have for this photography class. He is a wealth of knowledge both in life and photography. He is certainly making this class unique and fun. He has a website that you may like to visit - www.valentinesvalentine.com Of course what's his name? Valentine.

My cousin Joe turned 50! We were invited to a surprise birthday party for Joe at The Breakers in Spring Lake, NJ. The party was wonderful! Joe was actually surprised. My cousin, was brought to The Breakers on the pretense that he was playing with his band at a party for someone else. Not only was Joe surprised by the party but in total shock that Johnny Winter came to play! Of course Johnny Winter played fantastic. It was a night to remember!
The reason why I'm jotting this post is that this night got me thinking. What I noticed about Joe is his passion for music. It was pure passion. Wonderful to see. In looking at my cousin closer, I think Joe is passionate about everything he gets involved in. How great! Going through life and experiencing passion for something is such a gift. I know that I am passionate with many things that I do and experience. I think that is part of the key to having a positive outlook on life-find passion for something and it will help buffer negative "stuff" that comes in our way.
So, what I wish for anyone reading this is to find passion in something and you will find happiness.
